Grab bars help them get into
and out of the bathroom. While
installing one, it is better to
install its bracket to an existing
stud so that there is no chance
of the bar coming out. You
could also install an additional
towel bar that is perhaps lower
than the existing towel bar to
make it easier for them to put
and remove their towels.
Shower chairs let them sit
while showering. These chairs
are strong and made from
plastic. If you can afford it, you
could consider getting a walk-
in tub where you just have to
walk into a small, waist high
tub.
Buy raised toilet seats or a
taller toilet with perhaps
handles to make it easy getting
on and off the seat. Also install
handles on either side of the
toilet for support so that there
is no slipping while raising and
lowering oneself.
Get hand held shower sprays,
especially if you are using a
shower chair as it gives a
better reach. Do not forget
rubber shower mats to prevent
slipping in the shower. Keeping
all this in mind, we have a
huge range of bath accessories
in our Canadian medical
equipment store.
We have heavy-gauge and
welded bath tub rails that
clamps firmly to the tub wall
for easy entry and exit from
the tub. Our extra long bath
mats accommodate seating
products and come with suction
cups for secure attachment to
the tub or shower floor. |
